Baishan City

Baishan is an administrative division in southeastern Jilin Province situated along the Yalu River, where mountains and valleys form the main landscape. Forests cover most of the terrain and define the region's natural appearance.

The region originated from an administrative area established in 1902 and underwent several name changes before receiving its current name in 1994. These shifts reflect the area's changing political and administrative role.

The six administrative districts have each developed their own specialization in local natural products, shaping how communities work and what they produce. These different focuses give each area its own character and economic rhythm.

You can reach this area through Changbaishan Airport or the railway station, with local transportation connecting to all the districts. The transportation network helps you navigate between different areas easily.

The territory contains roughly three-fifths of the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve with diverse natural resources including ginseng, deer, and mineral springs. This concentration of resources makes it an important repository of rare natural products.
