Ping Shan Heritage Trail

Ping Shan Heritage Trail is a walking path through three historic villages in Yuen Long District that connects traditional residential buildings, ancestral halls, and study halls. The route passes by structures showing how communities were organized and how families lived together in these settlements.

The Tang family settled in this area during the Song period and constructed walled villages for protection and organization. Buildings were added over centuries as the settlements grew and adapted to changing times.

The trail is well marked with information panels at key locations and can be explored at a comfortable pace over a few hours. The walking paths are clearly defined and shaded areas provide rest spots throughout the route.

The Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda is Hong Kong's only surviving ancient pagoda and stands as a rare remnant from centuries past. Encountering this tower along the walking route offers a moment of connection to an earlier architectural era.
