Tin Chung Court, Public housing estate in Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong.
Tin Chung Court is a residential estate in Tin Shui Wai comprising 15 blocks with around 6,000 housing units. The buildings range from studio apartments to three-bedroom flats spread across up to 40 floors.
The estate began construction in 1999 with initial blocks, and more buildings were completed in 2002. This gradual expansion was part of broader housing development across the New Territories.
The estate follows Chinese naming conventions, with each building called 'Chung' and then given specific identifiers like Ting, Toi, and Lau. These names reflect traditional patterns commonly seen throughout Hong Kong's residential communities.
The site sits on Tin Wing Road with direct access to Chestwood Light Rail station. Sports facilities are available on the grounds, mainly for use by residents.
Two of the early blocks required major reinforcement work after completion because their support pillars were about 7 meters shorter than planned. This discovery led to significant repairs before residents could move in.
