Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre

The Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre is a nine-story university building in Kowloon Tong with distinctive glass and steel architecture. The facade displays sharp angles and geometric patterns throughout, giving the structure a modern and dynamic appearance.

The building was made possible by a major donation from the Shaw Foundation and opened to students in 2011. It was constructed as part of the university's expansion in creative and digital education.

The building houses departments for creative media and computer science, where students collaborate on projects combining film, design, and digital art. Teaching takes place in studios and laboratories that allow students to work directly with professional equipment.

The building is easily accessible by public transportation and has ample parking nearby. Accessibility is good, with elevators and ramps for people with limited mobility.

The stairway in the center of the building has an irregular form with a spiral configuration that connects different levels. This unusual design creates surprisingly intimate gathering areas between floors.
