Oberschleißheim

Oberschleißheim is a municipality north of Munich positioned between the Isar and Amper rivers, built on land that was once part of the Dachauer Moos wetlands. The area combines residential neighborhoods with research centers and university facilities spread across rolling terrain.

The place first appeared in written records in 785 when a local landowner transferred his estate to the Freising diocese. Over the centuries, it evolved from a farming community into a modern residential area near Munich.
