Big Tipi

Big Tipi is a large tent structure in Fredenbaumpark with a diameter of about 25 meters and height of around 35 meters, offering roughly 360 square meters of space. Inside are multiple play zones and a high ropes course where visitors can try different activities.

The tent was originally built as an attraction for Expo 2000 in Hannover before relocating to Dortmund's Fredenbaumpark. It has since become an established fixture that draws visitors from across the region.

The tent serves as a gathering place where families and children come together for shared activities and outdoor fun. It has become a spot where locals spend leisure time and create memories with their families.

The facility opens Tuesday through Sunday from around 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with activities that change with the seasons. Visiting on a weekend afternoon is a good idea when most activities are scheduled.

The tent was transported from its original location in Hannover to Dortmund while maintaining its distinctive cone shape. Seasonal programs allow activities to change throughout the year, offering fresh experiences each visit.
