Fabrik Heeder

Fabrik Heeder is a cultural center in Krefeld with two studio stages that hosts theater performances, dance events, and art exhibitions. The building features rentable event spaces and includes an on-site restaurant called Mikado meets Kulisse.

The building was constructed in 1906 as a wallpaper manufacturing plant and underwent conversion to a cultural facility starting in 1989 under the Cultural Office. This shift from industrial use to cultural purpose shaped the direction of the site.

The space hosts MOVE!, a regular series focused on contemporary dance, and presents the biennial Bandoneon Festival of Krefeld. These recurring programs shape the cultural life of the city and draw visitors from the surrounding region.
