The Stephaniebrunnen is a decorative fountain at Stephanplatz and features a bronze nymph figure on a large basin, surrounded by slender columns. The water basin is adorned with relief face carvings that serve as water spouts.
The fountain was designed in 1905 by architect Hermann Billing and was one of his major works for Karlsruhe. The structure reflected Art Nouveau influences that were popular in Germany during that era.
