Wormser Hof, Heritage building in Altstadt, Heidelberg, Germany

Wormser Hof is a three-story structure with a mansard roof that displays an ornate Renaissance portal at ground level. The building features architectural elements that blend different historical periods, creating a distinctive facade in Heidelberg's Old Town.

The property belonged to the Bishop of Worms between 1442 and 1610, serving as a town residence for religious officials. This connection to the church shaped the building's purpose and importance over several centuries.

From 1956 to 2013, this structure housed Cinema Harmonie and served as a popular venue for film screenings in the community. The cinema became a gathering place where residents enjoyed entertainment and social experiences together.

The building is located at Hauptstrasse 110 in Heidelberg's Old Town, near the intersection with Theaterstrasse. Its position on a main street makes it easy to reach and convenient to visit along with other nearby historic sites.

Archaeological digs in 1956 uncovered a pottery vessel from the 12th century, indicating this area was among Heidelberg's earliest settled regions. The discovery reveals that people lived and worked at this location during medieval times.
