The Blüchermuseum occupies a baroque building from 1780, formerly an inn called Zur Stadt Mannheim, displaying military artifacts and historical collections.
The museum commemorates Field Marshal von Blücher's Rhine crossing with the Silesian army between January 1 and 7, 1814, using a Russian pontoon bridge.
The collection includes contemporary memorabilia, pictures, display boards, and military artifacts that represent the German resistance against Napoleonic rule.
Located at Metzgergasse 6 in Kaub, the museum operates from March through October, Tuesday to Sunday, between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
A large tin figure diorama presents the Rhine crossing operation, providing visitors with a detailed visualization of this military maneuver.
