Skyline Tower, Office tower in Parkstadt Schwabing, Germany
Skyline Tower is an office building in the Parkstadt Schwabing district featuring 23 floors and a main structure rising about 84 meters high. The complex comprises several connected structures arranged around ground-level plazas that define the space.
This office tower was constructed between 2008 and 2010, marking a turning point in Munich's urban development during that period. The project transformed the Parkstadt Schwabing area into a contemporary commercial hub.
German architect Helmut Jahn incorporated sustainable design principles into the building, featuring triple-glazed glass facades and integrated climate control systems.
The site is located near the Alte Heide subway station, making it easy to reach by public transportation. The surroundings can be explored on foot to appreciate the architecture and plaza design.
The building's rooftop features a planted garden that brings an unexpected natural element to the structure. Horizontal stainless steel bands running across the facade serve both visual and functional purposes for air circulation.
