Schillerstraße 17-19

Schillerstraße 17-19 is a former department store with a neo-baroque facade that now operates as a hotel offering around 102 rooms. The structure combines historical architecture with modern furnishings and features a distinctive rooftop design with contemporary elements.

The building originally opened as the Kaufhaus Sachs & Berlowitz and played an important role in Weimar's commercial growth during the early 1900s. Following extensive renovation, it was transformed into a hotel in the early 2000s.

The building is named after the poet Schiller and blends Weimar's classical heritage with contemporary hotel use. Visitors can experience the mix of neo-baroque exterior and modern interiors that reflect the city's artistic traditions.
