Falkoner Center, hotel and event location
The Falkoner Center is a modern hotel and event venue in Frederiksberg, built between 1958 and 1959 after a design by Ole Hagen. The building features a spacious lobby and contemporary design, housing around 140 rooms and 26 suites under Radisson Blu standards, two large event halls accommodating up to 2,000 people, plus smaller stages and rooms for various activities.
The site once held the Frederiksberg Town Hall, which was demolished in the 1950s before the current building was constructed. From 1959 to 1961, the Falkoner Center was Denmark's tallest building and quickly became a symbol of modern progress and urban growth.
The Falkoner Center sits on Falkoner Allé, a busy street in Frederiksberg where the neighborhood serves as a gathering place for locals and visitors. Cafes, small shops, and parks shape the area and form an important part of daily life for residents.
The center is easy to reach, with an underground parking lot for over 500 vehicles directly at the building and metro access just a two-minute walk away. From the airport, travel by train or taxi takes about 30 minutes, making arrival convenient and allowing quick rest.
The building was Denmark's tallest structure for a brief period between 1959 and 1961, marking a turning point in the country's modern architecture. This architectural significance remains visible today in the clear, contemporary design that defines the structure.
