Puerta de Alarcones

Puerta de Alarcones is a stone city gate with a turret on the right side and an internal staircase that leads upward through the structure. The construction was part of Toledo's fortification system that defended the city and managed access through its walls.

The gate originates from the Visigothic fortification period and was declared a National Monument of Spain in 1921 alongside other Toledo gates. This official recognition highlights its importance for understanding the city's medieval past.
