Parc zoologique de Fréjus

Set across 20 acres of Mediterranean landscape, Parc Zoologique de Fréjus houses 110 different animal species from all continents including lions, giraffes, and elephants.

The zoological park, established in 1971 through collaboration between mayor André Léotard and private investor Hubert Masquefa, became the region's primary wildlife center.

The park maintains educational programs where keepers share their expertise during animal feeding sessions, fostering understanding of wildlife conservation among visitors.

Admission costs 16 euros for adults and 11.50 euros for children aged 3-9, with the park operating daily from 10:00 AM with varying closing times by season.

The facility remains the sole zoological park within 150 kilometers following the closure of Zoo de Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat, making it central to regional conservation efforts.
