The granite statue stands 2.42 meters tall with anatomical features including prominent ears, rounded head, and detailed facial characteristics carved in fine-grained stone.
The statue menhir dates back to the second millennium BCE and was found half-buried, face down on the slopes of Tagliafarro Pass in 1961.
The monolith displays precise sculptural techniques with relief carvings depicting ears, eyes, mouth, and spine, representing ancient Corsican craftsmanship.
Visitors can reach the statue through a marked trail from the parking area along RT20 road, requiring a 40-minute round trip walk.
The statue maintains traces of its original carving process and features a necklace represented by a carved arc connecting the shoulders.
