Ca Robegan, Medieval palace and museum in Treviso, Italy
Ca Robegan is a medieval palace in Treviso that forms part of a museum complex alongside Casa Karwath and Ca' da Noal, featuring Renaissance architecture with frescoed facades along Via Canova. The complex includes exhibition spaces and gardens that serve as venues for displays and events.
The palace was acquired by local authorities in 1935 and underwent extensive restoration work. Following Allied bombing damage in 1944 during World War II, the structure was carefully rebuilt.
The museum hosts rotating exhibitions of contemporary art and cultural events throughout the year that draw local and visiting audiences. It functions as a gathering place where people experience modern creative works alongside historical collections.
The museum spaces are accessible during regular opening hours and host exhibitions with educational programs available for school groups. The gardens can be explored as part of the visit and also serve as additional event spaces.
The interior was redesigned by architect Carlo Scarpa in the 1970s, who integrated modern exhibition spaces into the historic structure. This combination allows medieval foundations and contemporary artworks to coexist within the same building.
