Loggia dei Cavalieri

The Loggia dei Cavalieri features stone columns supporting rounded arches, with a trapezoidal layout and visible influences of Romanesque and Byzantine architectural elements.

Built between 1276 and 1277 during the podesteria of Giacomo da Perugia, this structure represented the political power of nobles in the Free Commune period.

The interior walls display multiple layers of frescoes, with the first phase dating to 1276-1277 and the second phase completed in 1313-1314.

Located at the intersection of Via Martiri della Libertà and Via Indipendenza, the loggia hosts antique book markets, art exhibitions, and jazz concerts throughout the year.

The building survived a proposed demolition in the late 1800s and the 1944 bombing of Treviso, leading to significant restoration work in 1910-1911.
