Frugone Collection

The Frugone Collection displays paintings, sculptures, and drawings from the 19th and 20th centuries within Villa Grimaldi Fassio, a grand coastal estate.

Brothers Lazzaro and Luigi Frugone donated their substantial art collection to the city of Genoa in 1935 and 1953, leading to the museum's creation.

The museum exhibits works by Italian and international artists including Bistolfi, Fontanesi, Mancini, Messina, Segantini, Signorini, and Sorolla y Bastida.

The museum opens Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with weekend hours starting at 9:30 AM, and entry costs 5 euros.

Giovanni Boldini's portrait 'Miss Bell' stands as one of the collection's central pieces, representing the Belle Époque period's artistic sensibilities.
