Villa Grimaldi Fassio contains two extensive collections of paintings, sculptures, and drawings from Italian and foreign artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The 18th-century rural palace underwent substantial renovations in 1956 under architect Luigi Carlo Daneri, who added a new lounge connecting to the park.
The Raccolte Frugone collection displays works by Mosé Bianchi, Giovanni Boldini, and Joaquin Sorolla y Bastida, representing different artistic movements.
The museum, located at Via Capolungo 9 in Nervi, operates as part of the Gallerie d'Arte Moderna network and maintains regular exhibition schedules.
The villa's rose garden contains 800 different rose varieties and hosted the Premio Genova competition for reflowering roses from 1985 to 1999.
