Castello della Boffalora

The rectangular structure features five towers constructed from stone and brick, with the main tower displaying protruding brick elements at its summit.

The Duke of Milan, Filippo Maria Visconti, granted the castle to the Arcelli family in 1412, marking the beginning of multiple noble family ownerships.

The castle's transformation from a military fortress to a residential dwelling in the 17th century led to architectural additions including a portico and loggia.

Located between Val Tidone and Val Luretta at 292 meters above sea level, the castle overlooks the road connecting Pianello Val Tidone to Agazzano.

The castle's chapel, dedicated to Saint Joseph and built in 1726, contains two altars at different levels, an uncommon architectural feature in the region.
