Castello della Bastardina

The rectangular castle features corner towers and stands at the foot of the Apennines between the Luretta and Tidone valleys near the Tidone river.

Construction of the castle began in 1450 under the Scotti family, who designed it as a status symbol rather than a defensive structure.

The castle received its name from La Bastarda fortress in Aosta Valley due to their architectural similarities and construction methods.

Visitors can reach the castle by following the Strada Comunale Tavergnano-Cantone road from the center of Agazzano in Piacenza province.

The property includes a 19th-century Italian garden, designed by Luigi Ghezzi in 1905, surrounding the brick-built structure.
