Castello di Lisignano, Medieval stone castle in Gazzola, Italy.
Located on the first slopes of the Ligurian Apennines, Castello di Lisignano stands by the Luretta stream with its rectangular layout and four corner towers.
In 1244, the Marquis of Hohenburg resided at the castle while conducting raids in the area on behalf of Emperor Frederick II.
The castle underwent substantial interior modifications in the late 17th century, transforming it from a military structure into a noble residence.
The Del Boca family currently owns the castle, which remains closed to public visits and maintains its original stone construction.
According to local accounts, an underground tunnel connects Castello di Lisignano to Agazzano Castle, passing beneath the Luretta stream.
