Castello di Agazzano

The castle features round corner towers, a double courtyard layout, and a Renaissance loggia with sandstone columns adorned with heraldic capitals.

Giovanni Scotti established the fortification in the 13th century, which underwent major reconstruction in 1475 following fire damage to incorporate Renaissance elements.

The castle halls display collections of furniture from 1600 to 1800, including valuable ceramics, porcelain pieces, and decorative tempera wall paintings.

The complex functions as an event venue, offering guided tours and accommodations in the Eleonora Rangoni suite overlooking the French-style garden.

The fortress maintains its original medieval military structure while incorporating an adjacent 18th-century villa built upon the former castle village site.
