Palazzo Miniscalchi, Art museum in medieval center, Verona, Italy.
Palazzo Miniscalchi Erizzo is an art museum in Verona's medieval center displaying Renaissance bronzes, archaeological finds, antique weapons, and religious artwork. The collections occupy multiple exhibition spaces across two floors.
The building began as a Gothic palace and was inhabited by the Miniscalchi family from the mid-15th century onward. After nearly 500 years, it was converted into a museum in 1977 to display the family heritage.
The palace name reflects the Miniscalchi family who gathered their collections here over generations. Visitors can see how wealthy families displayed their treasures and curiosities throughout the rooms of their home.
The museum is open Monday through Friday in two time blocks with a midday break in between. Guided tours are available by request and help visitors understand the different collections.
The palace contains an original home chapel where the family worshipped and which remains intact today. The private library collection reveals what books the family gathered and read over the centuries.
