San Giovanni in Foro

San Giovanni in Foro is a Romanesque church with Renaissance elements located along Corso Porta Borsari in Verona. The building combines older stone structures with a portal displaying figures of saints and features carved reliefs inside.

The church suffered major damage from a fire in 1172, documented by a marble plaque on its external wall. It was later rebuilt and renewed with Renaissance features.

The church takes its name from Saint John, a figure of particular importance to Verona's religious community. Inside, visitors can see painted walls and carved reliefs depicting scenes connected to his life and veneration.
