The Galleria d'Arte Moderna occupies multiple floors of the Palazzo della Ragione, displaying Italian and international artworks from the 19th century to present day.
The gallery, which opened in 1982, carries forward the legacy of Achille Forti, a botanist who donated his art collection and residence to the city.
The collection features 1700 works by notable artists including Francesco Hayez, Medardo Rosso, Renato Birolli, and Felice Casorati, representing various artistic movements.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with final admission at 5:30 PM.
The gallery maintains an evolving collection, having added 400 contemporary pieces since 1987, including works by Louise Bourgeois and Cindy Sherman.
