The Palazzo del Podestà features three construction bodies made of white Vallemontagnana stone, with a central vaulted arch reaching 11.70 meters high.
Built in 1255, the palace emerged at the intersection where Castelvecchio and Pojo areas met, marking the formation point of medieval Fabriano.
The building contains fragments of frescoes painted by Ventura di Francesco in 1325, depicting battle scenes and a Wheel of Fortune with a female figure.
The municipality of Fabriano maintains the palace, which stands as a central point in the town and remains accessible for visitors throughout the year.
A tributary of the river once flowed beneath the main arch, which spans 9.75 meters and measures 15.60 meters in length.
