Fabriano Cathedral

Fabriano Cathedral is a brick structure with Baroque styling, richly decorated with stucco and ornamental details throughout the main hall. The interior contains paintings and religious artworks that draw the eye around the space.

The building was founded in 1047 and held special importance across many centuries. Between 1607 and 1617 it underwent extensive transformations that reshaped it into its current Baroque appearance.

The Saint Lawrence Chapel displays frescoes and artworks by Italian masters that shape the interior. These paintings tell religious stories that visitors encounter while moving through the building.

The building is centrally located in Fabriano and open to visitors who can reach it via Via Balbo. Since it still functions as the Bishop's seat, visitors should be mindful of religious services or ceremonies that may affect access.

The rear section of the building preserves elements from the original 14th century, including a cloister connected to the main structure. This older area offers an interesting contrast to the Baroque decorations added around it.
