Temple of Hercules, Roman temple at Amman Citadel, Jordan.

The Temple of Hercules features six limestone columns reaching 10 meters high and spans 30 by 24 meters within the ancient citadel complex.

Construction began between 161 and 166 AD during the governance of Geminius Marcianus, marking the Roman presence in the Province of Arabia.

The temple complex represents Roman architectural methods, displaying classical design elements through its portico, sanctum, and surviving structural components.

The archaeological site maintains daily operations from 8 AM to 6 PM, with entrance fees included in the Jordan Pass for international visitors.

Three gigantic stone fingers and an elbow remain from a colossal statue of Hercules that once stood over 12 meters tall at the temple.
