Komagawa Station, Interchange railway station in Hidaka, Japan.
Komagawa Station is a railway station in Hidaka, Japan, with three tracks served by one side platform and one island platform. The eastern section includes storage tracks for trains.
The station opened in April 1933 to serve surrounding communities as a transport hub. During the 1987 privatization of Japanese National Railways, it came under East Japan Railway Company management.
The name comes from the Koma River, which shapes the local landscape. Travelers on the platforms can sense how geography and transport routes meet here.
The station connects travelers via the Hachiko Line to Hachioji and Takasaki, plus the Kawagoe Line toward Kawagoe and Omiya. Platforms are clearly marked, making it easy to find connecting services.
Daily passengers rose steadily from around 4,100 in 2000 to about 4,500 in 2019. This growth shows the station remained important for commuters despite regional changes.
