Festivalgate, Commercial complex in Naniwa-ku, Japan.
Festivalgate was an entertainment complex in Osaka that brought together restaurants, shopping arcades, and movie theaters in one building. Two steel roller coasters operated side by side within the same structure, creating a theme park experience in the heart of the city.
The complex opened in 1997 as an entertainment destination near Shin-Imamiya Station and became a popular leisure spot for city residents and visitors. Financial difficulties forced its closure in 2011, followed by demolition in March 2012.
The facility represented a modern Japanese entertainment center that combined retail spaces with recreational activities in an urban setting.
The location next to Shin-Imamiya Station on the Osaka Loop Line made it easy to reach from across the city without a car. Visitors could access the complex directly from the train platform.
The complex featured Delphis the Coaster and ExtremeDragon, two steel roller coasters that operated simultaneously within the same building structure.
