Fukuyama Castle, Japanese castle in Fukuyama, Japan.
The five-story castle stands on a hill with dimensions of 400 meters in length and 200 meters in width, featuring white walls and dark roofs.
Built between 1619 and 1622 by Mizuno Katsunari, the castle served as a strategic stronghold for protecting western Japan during the Edo period.
The castle grounds include the Hiroshima Prefectural Museum of History, which presents exhibits about life in the Seto Inland Sea region.
Located directly across from Fukuyama Station, the castle museum remains open throughout the year with seasonal operating hours.
Three sides of the main keep display white walls while one side features black iron plates, creating a distinct visual contrast.
