Mitsujo Kofun

Mitsujo Kofun is a burial site consisting of three mounds arranged with a distinctive keyhole-shaped main structure in Higashihiroshima. The principal mound spans a considerable length and height, and the entire complex functions as a public historical park.

This burial complex was constructed in the early 5th century and served as the final resting place for regional leaders. Its construction demonstrates the engineering capabilities and the status held by these elites during that period.
