乙女の滝, Waterfall in Teine-ku district, Sapporo, Japan

The Otome no Taki waterfall features a water stream that drops 8 meters in height and spans 7 meters in width along the Hoshioki River tributary.

Local records from 2004 document the waterfall's natural state and surrounding forest, showing minimal changes to the landscape over the past decades.

The name Otome no Taki, meaning Maiden's Waterfall, reflects the gentle flow of water that characterizes this natural formation throughout the seasons.

Visitors can reach the waterfall by following National Route 5 toward Otaru, turning left at Teine Kanayama intersection, and walking along the maintained nature trail.

During winter months, sections of the falling water transform into frozen formations while maintaining partial flow through specific channels.
