乙女の滝

Otome no Taki is a waterfall in Sapporo's Teine district where water drops from the Hoshioki River creating a narrow vertical cascade. The fall descends into a rocky pool below surrounded by forest cover on both sides.

Local records from 2004 document the waterfall in its natural state during that time. The landscape has remained largely unchanged since then, maintaining its character as a stable natural formation.

The name Otome no Taki refers to the waterfall's delicate water flow that people notice when visiting throughout the year. Locals value this spot for how gently the water descends and for the peaceful feeling it creates.

Visitors can reach this spot by walking along a maintained nature trail that starts from a nearby access point in the district. Wear sturdy shoes since the ground near the water can be wet and slippery, especially after rain.

During winter the falling water begins to freeze around its edges while liquid flow continues through certain channels. This creates a striking display where ice formations frame moving water at the same time.
