大分文化会館, かつて大分県大分市にあった多目的ホール
Oita Cultural Hall was a multi-purpose venue in the center of Oita city with flexible spaces designed to accommodate different types of events. The main auditorium held nearly 1900 seats, while two smaller halls provided options for intimate gatherings and meetings.
The hall opened in 1966 as a replacement for an older venue inside a department store that could only hold 800 people. After serving the community for 47 years, it closed in 2013 when a newer, larger facility opened nearby, and the building was demolished in 2014.
The venue was about 15 minutes on foot from the main train station and easily accessible by local buses from across the city. Its central location made it convenient for visitors arriving from different neighborhoods.
The main hall's curtain featured a painting by a local artist depicting the arrival of a foreign ship at a port, a distinctive artistic detail visible to all who attended events there. This artwork was a notable feature that added character to the performance space.
