Gongendō Park

Gongendō Park spans 35 hectares across four distinct sections, featuring sports fields, playgrounds, cultural spaces, and extensive cherry blossom viewing areas along embankments.

The park officially opened on April 1, 2008, transforming the area around Gongendo Reservoir into a recreational space that connects water features with public facilities.

The Satte Gongendo Sakuratsutsumi section displays 1000 Yoshino cherry trees along a one-kilometer stretch, drawing visitors during the spring viewing season.

Park facilities remain open from 8:30 AM to 7 PM during April through September, with shorter hours in winter and annual closure from December 29 to January 3.

Volunteers maintain 10,000 hydrangea plants throughout the park, creating continuous floral displays after the cherry blossom season concludes in spring.
