稲葉山牧場, Ranch at Mount Inaba, Toyama Prefecture, Japan
Inabayama Ranch sits on the summit and slopes of Mount Inaba at roughly 346 meters elevation, with views across to the Tateyama mountain range. The site contains grazing areas for cattle and other farm animals, plus a restaurant and spaces for visitors to walk around and observe the animals.
This farming site has served for generations as a central place for dairy and beef production in the Toyama region. The mountain location allowed it to remain active in agriculture while supporting the local economy over many decades.
The ranch produces Inaba Märchen beef, a regional specialty that appears on the mountain-top restaurant menu prepared in traditional ways. This allows visitors to taste how local farming connects to the food culture of the Toyama area.
The ranch opens seasonally from April through November, typically from 9 AM to 4 PM each day. A parking area holds about 50 vehicles, and the walk from the lot to the main buildings is straightforward and accessible.
Visitors can interact directly with farm animals like goats, rabbits, and squirrels during their time on the property. This hands-on contact with animals is something many mountain farms in Japan do not offer to the public.
