Kakurin-bō, Buddhist temple guesthouse in Minobu, Japan
Kakurin-bō functions as a satellite temple of Kuonji, offering traditional lodging and spiritual practices at the foot of Mount Fuji.
The temple house, established 550 years ago, belongs to Gyogakuin, a sub-temple of Kuonji founded by Nitcho Daishonin in the late 15th century.
Guests participate in morning prayer services at sunrise and experience Buddhist vegetarian meals prepared with seasonal ingredients from the region.
The temple provides spacious rooms with fusuma sliding doors, large baths with local wine salts, and multiple transportation options from Tokyo.
The temple house maintains Guest Villa Ebisuya, a restored 1930s country residence that combines traditional design with modern accommodations.
