Ryūfuku-ji, Buddhist temple with five-storied pagoda in Yamaguchi, Japan
The temple complex includes a national treasure five-storied pagoda, main hall, temple storehouse, bell tower, and dedicated pagoda museum.
The five-storied pagoda, constructed in 1442, predates the establishment of Ryūfuku-ji temple, which was founded in the late 1400s.
The temple grounds contain the burial site of Mori family members, who controlled the region throughout the Edo Period from 1603 to 1867.
The temple sits 2.5 kilometers north of Yamaguchi Station, accessible by bus to Kenchomae stop followed by a ten-minute walk.
The Uguisubari Stone Pavement near the graves produces sounds similar to a Japanese Bush Warbler when people walk on it.
