Arai Castle Ruins Park, Castle ruins park in Manazuru, Japan.
The park contains stone walls and foundations from the original castle structure, surrounded by diverse tree species and bamboo groves in Kanagawa Prefecture.
The castle belonged to samurai Arai Sanetsugu, who participated in the Gosannen War of 1083, marking a significant period in Japanese military history.
The park holds an annual Sakura Festival where cherry trees illuminate the night, drawing visitors to celebrate this Japanese spring tradition.
Located five minutes on foot from JR Manazuru Station, the park offers panoramic views of Manazuru City and remains open throughout the day.
The park combines archaeological remains with natural elements, positioned near Kibune Shrine from 889 and the five-story pagoda of Ryumonji Temple.
