Yatsugatake Museum

The Yatsugatake Museum is a regional museum near the mountain of the same name that presents exhibitions on the geography, geology, history, and traditions of the Nagano area. The building also shows local crafts and industries that have shaped the region over time.

The museum opened in 1988 and built its collection through a major donation of artworks by a local sculptor. This gift made it possible for the institution to become a cultural center for the surrounding region.
