Former Yokohama Central Branch, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Historical bank building in Yokohama, Japan.
The building displays Ionian architectural elements with classical decorative bands and pilasters across its preserved stone facade.
Constructed in 1934 by architect Matakichi Yabe, the structure initially served as the Kawasaki Daiichi Bank before becoming the Tokyo Mitsubishi Bank.
The building represents early 20th-century Japanese banking architecture, combining Western design elements with local construction techniques.
The original bank structure now forms part of D'Grafort Yokohama Cruising Tower, located at the intersection of Honcho and Kannai streets.
The facade restoration project in 2004 preserved the original banking hall exterior while incorporating it into a modern high-rise residential complex.
