Zou-no-hana Park, Public park in Minato Mirai 21, Japan
Zou-no-hana Park is a waterfront park in Yokohama Bay with grass areas, walking paths, and views of the harbor and Yokohama Bay Bridge. The space extends into the bay and offers different areas for strolling and relaxing.
The park opened in 2009 at a former maritime site and coincided with the 150th anniversary of Yokohama Port opening to international trade. This timing made it a symbol of the city's modern development.
The Zou-no-hana Terrace building within the park functions as a space for art exhibitions and performances. People gather here throughout the year for cultural events and community activities.
The park is three minutes from Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line and is easy to reach. Cafes within the grounds serve food made with local ingredients.
The park takes its name from the breakwater's shape, which looks like an elephant's trunk when viewed from above. This silhouette makes it recognizable from aerial perspectives.
