水潜寺, Buddhist temple in Minano, Japan
Suisen-ji Temple occupies a position among dense forests in the mountainous area of Chichibu, featuring traditional Buddhist architecture and meditation spaces.
The temple originates from an incident where a wandering monk directed villagers to a water source during a severe drought, leading to its establishment.
The temple houses a Thousand-Armed Kannon statue from the Muromachi period and contains multiple Buddhist artifacts within its main hall.
The temple opens from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break at noon, offering parking spaces for 10 cars and 2 microbuses.
Visitors can participate in the Hyaku Kannon sand-walking ritual, believed to grant the benefits of completing the pilgrimage to 100 Kannon temples.
