小鹿野バイクの森, Motorcycle museum in Ogano, Japan
The Ogano Bike Forest is a motorcycle museum in the Chichibu area displaying a large collection of bikes spanning several decades of manufacturing. The exhibition features machines from the 1920s through modern times, alongside a dedicated section for motorcycle helmets and safety gear.
The facility was established in 2009 on the site of a former hot springs resort, but closed shortly after and reopened in 2021 with a renewed focus. This period of closure and reopening allowed for significant expansion and reorganization of the collection.
The Arai Helmet Museum section exhibits helmets used by famous riders, including IndyCar driver Takuma Sato and MotoGP racer Maverick Viñales.
The museum is located in Ogano within the Chichibu District and is relatively compact to explore. On-site dining options make it easy to spend several hours browsing without needing to leave the grounds.
The facility combines a motorcycle exhibition with a specialized helmet museum, showcasing technical innovations in motorcycle safety equipment.
