EmCAMPUS, Office tower in Toyohashi City, Japan.
emCAMPUS is a mixed-use tower in Toyohashi, Japan, standing about 310 feet (93 meters) tall with 24 floors above ground and one basement level. The building brings together office spaces, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and a public library under a single roof.
emCAMPUS opened in November 2021 as part of a broader effort to revitalize the area around Toyohashi Station. It was developed to bring together work, learning, and public life in a part of the city that had been earmarked for renewal.
The building houses a public library that anyone can walk into and use freely. On any given day, people can be seen reading, attending events, or taking part in workshops side by side with office workers.
The building is a short walk from Toyohashi Station, making it easy to reach on foot from the city center. Some areas, including the library, are open during the day and into the evening, though hours vary by floor and space.
The building has a rooftop garden where visitors can learn about urban food growing and meet local farmers. It is an unexpected feature for a downtown office tower and one that many visitors do not know about before arriving.
