The Court Church features white marble tombs and a gilded iconostasis within its traditional Orthodox architectural design in central Cetinje.
Built in 1890 on the ruins of an earlier monastery from the 15th century, the church was commissioned by King Nikola I of Montenegro.
The church holds deep significance as the final resting place of Ivan Crnojević, King Nikola, Queen Milena, and Montenegrin princesses Ksenija and Vjera.
The church operates as part of the History Museum of Montenegro and welcomes visitors interested in exploring religious and royal heritage.
During the 1989 reinterment ceremony of King Nikola and Queen Milena, one quarter of Montenegro's population attended the three-hour service.
