Old Town Road

Old Town Road winds through several squares and passes stone buildings standing behind massive fortification walls. The path is narrowly paved and connects churches, houses, and public spaces into a connected network within the historic city boundaries.

The road emerged under Venetian rule in the 15th century as a trade route connecting the port with inland settlements. This function shaped its direction and importance as a central artery of the city for over 500 years.
