Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project, Real estate development project near Ravi River, Punjab, Pakistan
The Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project is a land reclamation and development initiative along the riverbank in Punjab province, intended to create new urban districts and green spaces. The initiative extends across more than 100,000 acres and links different planned neighborhoods through a network of roads and waterways.
The initiative began in 2020 when the foundation ceremony for the overall project took place. Since then, the first construction work for laying infrastructure and raising land has started.
The project integrates twelve planned cities, including specialized zones for medical facilities, innovation centers, and knowledge districts to support regional growth.
Much of the site remains under development, so many areas are not accessible to visitors. Those wishing to view the planning exhibition or completed sections should inquire in advance about current progress.
The construction plan includes planting six million trees to improve air quality and create green areas. Officials also plan to establish dedicated treatment centers to process river water for urban supply.
